The Villa is about 100 km from Faro airport and 300km for Lisbon. It is recommended, when hiring a car, to include a pre paid toll pass as this will automatically charge you for the journey. Currently the tolls for a return trip are about 20 euros. However you may wish to use it for additional trips during your stay.

A note on Car Hire

All of the major car hire companies and are available at Faro airport however, there are a couple of companies worth considering.

Luz Car a local company who charge a fixed daily price which includes all insurance, with no excess and the inclusions of multiple drivers at no extra cost. Also no excess deposit is required at the time of pickup. The pickup is from the airport car park and the staff have always been friendly and efficient.

Zest Car hire a UK based company who give access to many of the rental companies at Faro airport. The one advantage is they are clear about charges, insurance and any additional costs in advance.
